The first leg in the multi-step process of getting this tree as close as possible to working condition as a functioning telephone pole. This Douglas fir had been severely injured in an accident due to natural causes and in an attempt to save this tree, it has been stabilized in its current condition. Future steps in this procedure include, but are not limited to; grafting, structural reformation, leveling, and tracheostomy.
